Recycling With Style at St. Louis Fashion Week!
The fashion world can often be a throw-away culture. Fashion:able takes St. Louis sustainability to the next level!
Fashion:able Elegant Recyclers
At each Fashion Week event, our dressy Elegant Recyclers will be on hand to collect recyclables (such as your empty Borba water bottles, cups, unwanted programs, or Budweiser products) in a pleasant manner. No ugly plastic bins at these events!
Fashion:able Clothing Collection
Be on the lookout for ads in Alive Magazine, St. Louis Magazine, the RFT, and other publications. We're collecting unwanted or ill-fitting (yet still stylish) threads at Fashion Week events! Tres Sustainable!
Fashion:able Re-Fashion Competition
These collected garments will then be brought to the fashion design and art schools in the area. Each will be invited to participate in a contest involving new garments constructed from the recycled textiles! All garments not selected by the designers will be passed on to theatre costuming departments, and all those remaining after that will be donated to a shelter.
